6 Week Solo Improvisation

19th October – 29th November 

Alongside other artist-improvisers, this programme offers a weekly window for your solo improvisation pracitced

Whatever your relation to improvisation is: improvisation as a regular practice; as performance;  as a tool for making; as a research strategy.

This 6 Week programme aims to nourish your practice within a culture of mutual respect, support and kindness.

The programme is for 3,4, or 5 artist-improvisers

Each artist-improviser will have:

  • 5  Group Sessions *  facilitated by Caroline Salem. Exact dates and time to be scheduled to suit all participants. 5 x Thursdays ( or a better day for all)
  • either 2-5.30pm or 6 -9.30pm
  • 2 x 1 hour 1:1 Individual Creative Practice Sessions in person or online with Caroline Salem
  • OPTIONAL 6 X 3hr studio sessions at Clarence Mews – schedule in advance
  • A Final Open Session –  guests will be invited by the artist-improvisers

*The Group Sessions 

The first group meeting will focus on getting to know a little about each other’s improvisation practice and co-creating the culture of the future meetings. In all other meetings, after a brief hello/ check-in each artist-improviser has 40mins, they are in control of how they use this time. The group will be guided by the requests made by the artist-improviser;  to listen, witness, communicate their experience, offer non verbal responses, participate, ask questions…..The meetings are facilitated by experienced maker, facilitator and ‘Relational Dynamics 1st’ coach Caroline Salem

CONRIBUTION:

£220 (with no additional studio hours)

Plus  £216 with 6 x 3hr studio sessions

It is possible to spread your payments over 5, 10, 20 weeks

There is NO expectation that you will use studio space
